Emma practises primarily in government litigation and administrative law. Her experience includes acting on behalf of various government clients and statutory authorities, including the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (and the Boards), and the Department of Justice and Community Safety.

Emma assists these clients in relation to enforcement proceedings, prosecutions, disciplinary proceedings and appeals.

Experience

  • Acting for the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and National Boards in disciplinary and appeal proceedings
  • Acting for the Secretary to the Department of Justice and Community Safety in respect of applications made under the Serious Offenders Act 2018
  • Acting on behalf of government clients in courts and tribunals in prosecutions and disciplinary hearings 
  • Defending government and administrative decisions in merits review proceedings in the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal
  • Advising clients on administrative law and natural justice requirements
