Martine works with Principals and Senior Associates at Russell Kennedy to advise clients across workplace relations, employment law, discrimination and education matters.

Martine works closely with independent schools across Australia including advising on employment matters, inclusivity and anti-discrimination, child protection and student safety and wellbeing, complaints and grievance handling.

Martine is dedicated to assisting clients in achieving their desired outcomes while managing commercial and legal risks.

Experience

  • Advising on the management of employee performance, conduct and dismissals
  • Assisting independent schools across Australia on student conduct matters and managing parent relationships, and eliminating the risk of child abuse (including by managing mandatory reporting obligations, and appropriately responding to allegations)
  • Advising clients on the Educational Services (Teachers) Award 2020 and the Educational Services (Schools) General Staff Award 2020
  • Acting for clients in unfair dismissal, general protection and discrimination proceedings
  • Acting for clients on equal opportunity matters including sexual harassment and discrimination claims
