Peter practices in the areas of administrative law, regulatory compliance and risk management with a focus on aged care, disability and health.

He assists providers of aged care and of disability services to comply with their legal responsibilities including, as appropriate, under the Aged Care Act and in responding to the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission and / or the NDIS scheme.

He also assists government clients and statutory authorities including the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (and the Boards). Peter assists these clients in relation to disciplinary and appeal proceedings.

Experience

  • Advising clients on legal compliance, risk management and policy and procedure development
  • Advising aged care providers of their obligations under the Aged Care Act
  • Assisting aged care providers in responding to the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission
  • Acting for the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and National Boards in disciplinary and appeal proceedings
