Stefan is a leading environmental lawyer who acts for local government, water corporations, waste and resource recovery groups and corporations across various sectors including waste management, resource recovery, infrastructure, manufacturing, organics, rendering, logistics and agriculture.

His practice involves landfills, solid waste management, contaminated land and groundwater, EPA licensing and approvals, trade waste, reclaimed water, stormwater drainage and enforcement. Prior to practicing law, Stefan worked as an environmental engineer for the Environment Protection Authority.

  • Representing clients in negotiations with the Environment Protection Authority concerning statutory approvals, licensing, control notices, financial assurance and enforcement
  • Advising local government, water corporations and commercial clients regarding waste collection, transport, handling, treatment, reuse, recycling, energy recovery and disposal (landfill)
  • Advising clients regarding the development of potentially contaminated land, including land in proximity to landfills (closed and proposed)
  • Advising local government and water corporations on the compulsory acquisition and rezoning of land for waste management infrastructure
  • Negotiating and preparing trade waste agreements
  • Environmental due diligence
