Harrison practices in the areas of workplace disputes and investigations, employee entitlements and underpayments, work health and safety obligations and prosecutions, the interpretation of modern awards and enterprise agreements and in discrimination matters.

Harrison is passionate about learning the intricacies of his clients’ business and is committed to achieving successful commercial outcomes.

Experience

Drafting and advising on employment contracts, independent contractor agreements and workplace policies
Advising clients in respect of employee entitlements and rectification of underpayments
Assisting clients in relation to obligations under workplace health and safety legislation, including responding to critical safety incidents
Advising and acting for clients in prosecutions arising from workplace fatalities, injuries, and other incidents, including in matters before the Court of Appeal and in applications to the High Court
Acting for clients in unfair dismissal and general protection proceedings including jurisdictional hearings and conciliations in the Fair Work Commission
Advising clients in relation to enterprise agreements, including drafting, amending and negotiating enterprise agreements, and assisting clients with the pre-approval process and lodgement
Advising on the interaction between enterprise agreements, transitional awards, modern awards, State reference public sector awards and the National Employment Standards
Advising on workplace investigations, disciplinary matters, and termination of employment
Acting for clients in relation to equal opportunity matters including sexual harassment and discrimination claims
