Andrew is a senior principal in Russell Kennedy's Corporate and Commercial team, specialising in technology transactions, commercialisation of intellectual property research and development, trademark registration and enforcement, and information technology.


  • Advising on the complex area of agricultural biotechnology, and the legal ramifications that emerge from using biological systems to make or modify products
  • Commercialising Intellectual Property for private sector and government
  • Providing branding advice and trademark protection in a public arena
  • Advising in relation to Intellectual Property including registration and licensing of trademarks, licensing of patents and copyrights, advice on patent, copyright, trademark protection, PBR and confidential information
  • Advising on commercial intellectual property issues and general commercial contracts
  • Providing agreements for medical research and development, CRC, linkage and alliance, funding and collaboration
  • Advising on large scale government contracts
  • Advising on all forms of technology transactions including commercialisation of intellectual property, licensing, joint venture agreements, shareholder agreements and equity subscription agreements
  • Advising government and statutory agencies in respect of technology procurement and intellectual property
