Sharon has extensive experience in insurance, government and personal injury law. She also acts in the coronial jurisdiction having acted for the NSW Commissioner of Police and for individual Victorian Police Officers in a number of high profile inquests. Sharon is focussed on understanding the needs of her clients and delivering on her clients’ expectations by providing cost-effective, practical and timely advice.


  • Providing insurance advice, acting for both plaintiffs and defendants
  • Providing advice to insurers and government departments
  • Advising on a diverse range of claims, including: public liability, product liability, occupational health and safety, professional indemnity, motor accident claims, medical negligence and common law recovery actions
  • Providing advice on Intentional Torts (including assault, battery, trespass to land and goods, malicious prosecution and misfeasance in public office) and Negligence Claims
  • Instructing/Attending informal settlement negotiations, conferences and mediations
  • Extensive experience conducting litigation in the Supreme, District, Federal and local courts together with Specialist Tribunals (the Industrial Relations Commission, Administrative Appeals Board and the Administrative Appeals Tribunal)
  • Conducting both large scale and high volume litigation 
  • Representing the interests of Victorian Police officers called to give evidence in high profile inquests
  • Representing the interests of the New South Wales Police Force (the Commissioner of Police and officers called to give evidence) in high profile inquests
  • Representing the interests of the New South Wales Police Force (the Commissioner of Police) in disciplinary proceedings and in proceedings brought in the Administrative Appeals Board and Administrative Appeals Tribunal
  • Conducting Judicial Review Applications in the Federal Circuit Court
  • Representing the interests of VicRoads in negligence/breach of statutory duty claims
