Angelo has experience in complex financial proceedings involving third-parties, trusts and interested parties – including matters that have involved banking institutions and the Australian Taxation Office along with contested divorces, family law proceedings involving jurisdictional issues with foreign courts, child support disputes including those heard before the Court, – and parenting matters involving extended family members and serious allegations of abuse and harm.
Angelo also has a wealth of experience in private litigation matters and disputes arising under the Succession Act and the Probate and Administration Act. Angelo has a passion for guiding clients through inheritance disputes which involve family law litigation.
Whilst Angelo works primarily in matters arising under the Family Law Act, he has acted and been involved with a variety of unusual cases that involve families in dispute generally. Angelo’s practice is diverse; he has sought urgent orders from the Supreme Court of New South Wales for sperm retrieval from a cadaver; he has made and defended applications to the Supreme Court of New South Wales under 66G of the Conveyancing Act 1919 (NSW) (where family members and co-owners of real estate are unable to agree on the sale or ownership of property); and represented client’s involved in concurrent litigation in state and federal courts where divorce, wills and estates and equity have intersected.
He is a confident litigator having appeared before the Supreme Court of New South Wales, the District Court of New South Wales, the Local Court of New South Wales as well as the Family Court of Australia and the Federal Circuit Court of Australia at both interim and final hearings.
