JobKeeper scheme explained
In this webinar, Jonathan Teh, Principal in the Corporate and Commercial team, and Abbey Burns, Senior Associate in the Workplace Relations, Employment and Safety team will provide an overview of the JobKeeper scheme and related issues. The discussion will cover:
- Does my business qualify for the JobKeeper scheme? How does the turnover test work?
- Employee eligibility including:
o Can I rehire employees that I made redundant and what happens to their redundancy pay?
o How do I determine whether a casual is a ‘long term casual’ for the purpose of the scheme?
o Do employees who refuse to come to work qualify for the payment?
- I already have some reduced hours/stand down arrangements in place, should I now issue JobKeeper directions to staff?
- How do the JobKeeper directions and agreements work?
- What JobKeeper payments attract superannuation?
