On Thursday 8 September 2022, Russell Kennedy hosted an online training session covering should you be a dual registered NDIS & Aged Care provider and how should you navigate the intersection of NDIS & Aged Care. This session was aimed at those working within the residential aged care and disability sectors.

The training helps you understand the overlap between Aged Care and NDIS creates many opportunities for aged care providers (e.g. Specialist Disability Accommodation, Flexible Care) but also raises the need for dual registration for aged care providers with the NDIS Commission.

In this session, we presented the following:

  • When RAC providers will need to be a registered NDIS provider
  • What can dual Aged Care / NDIS registered providers expect for NDIS compliance and audit
  • What steps are required to remove NDIS registration
  • Managing security of tenure

Attendees to the training gained a greater understanding of how NDIS intersects with residential aged care and the compliance risks that may arise, along with practical ways to be prepared to minimise these risks.

This online training was delivered by Russell Kennedy Principal Victor Harcourt and Russell Kennedy Associate Beatrisa Dubinsky.

This training replay will be available for a limited time.
