NEWS: Felicity Iredale and Talisa Juracich have been published in the Australian Health Law Bulletin, titled: Do safe access zones protect health practitioners and patients at the cost of constitutional freedoms? Clubb v Edwards; Preston v Avery

The High Court of Australia has recently handed down a decision regarding the constitutional validity of legislation in Victoria and Tasmania governing safe access zones to abortion providers.

Specifically, the decision dismissed two appeals, which each challenged the constitutional validity of safe access zones on the basis that such restrictions burden the implied freedom of political communication under the Australian Constitution.
