This session focuses on effectively leading teams through a virtual medium.

Working from home has become a prominent feature of workplaces as businesses sought to navigate the challenges that COVID-19 and 2020 presented. Whilst working from home offers many benefits, it also requires new skills to assist leaders, managers and supervisors to effectively connect with and empower their teams and develop productive, inclusive and efficient remote and hybrid workspaces.

Shelley Flett will present on and discuss concepts around:

  • Engagement - Engaging individuals and teams to continue to connect regularly, work collaboratively and cohesively drive motivation.
  • Enablement - Enabling autonomy and giving choice (where possible) for individuals to manage their workload and follow through on commitments. Transition the focus to managing outcomes rather than managing time.
  • Empowerment - Empowering growth and continually offering opportunities that support and encourage ongoing career development to retain top talent.
