Shaun was previously a lawyer practising in the property and development sector in New Zealand before joining Russell Kennedy. Shaun’s experience is across a wide range of property matters, this includes commercial leasing, property development and local government property work. His focus is on providing clients pragmatic and effective advice, whilst working with them to achieve practical solutions

Experience

Acting for local government councils on business as usual work including small projects, acquisitions and disposals, leasing arrangements, and road laws.
Acting for local government councils on complex project developments, development agreements, and construction projects.
Acting for a private client in undertaking due diligence on all property and contract matters on an $80m acquisition of partially completed development sites in rural Victoria.
Acting for landlords and tenants on commercial and industrial leases and agreements for lease.

Acting for vendor and purchaser clients on due diligence investigations for property transactions, or transactions involving property elements, including mergers and acquisitions and initial public offerings.
Acting for private property developers on commercial office tower redevelopments, including development agreements and related leasing arrangements with government and private corporate tenants.
Acting for clients on small, medium, and large scale sale and purchase transactions, including preparation and advising on sale and purchase agreements and related documentation, and attending to settlement and post-settlement matters.
