Laura has experience in employment law, including advisory, human rights and discrimination matters. She advises and assists employers and independent schools across a broad range of workplace issues, with expertise in advocacy and litigation before the Fair Work Commission, the Fair Work Ombudsman and the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

Her litigation experience includes representing clients in unfair dismissal matters, general protection matters, human rights and discrimination claims.

Laura provides strategic, practical advice to help clients navigate complex employee matters, including, performance management, disciplinary issues, redundancy processes, and terminations of employment, and prepares associated documentation. She also assists with workplace investigations into employee conduct and advises on investigation findings and reports.

  • Representing clients in equal opportunity matters including sexual harassment, human rights and discrimination claims.
  • Managing and assisting clients in relation to workplace investigations
  • Advising on the management of employee performance, conduct, workplace investigations and dismissals.
  • Negotiating settlements to resolve disputes and litigated matters, including preparing deeds of separation and release.
