Catherine practises principally in the areas of engineering and construction litigation and property-related litigation, with a particular emphasis on contract advice, litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution in relation to major projects. Catherine has experience in large-scale dispute matters, including providing claims advice and options on dispute resolution, both domestic and international.


  • Acting in numerous adjudication applications brought under the Building and Construction Industry (Security of Payment) Act 1999 (NSW) and Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 2002 (Vic)

  • Acting for Commonwealth Government clients, particularly the Department of Finance in the Supreme Court for litigation matters

  • Advising clients in large scale domestic arbitrations, particularly in relation to rail projects

  • Advising and acting for the Victorian Government in a domestic arbitration in relation to extension of time entitlements and claims for additional delay costs

  • Preparing construction contracts for infrastructure water projects

  • Advising clients in all aspects of building and construction, property, and leasing disputes
