Caitlin advises on all aspects of employment law, including employment obligations, termination of employment, equal opportunity, the application of awards and the interpretation of enterprise agreements. Caitlin also has experience appearing for clients at the Fair Work Commission and the Australian Human Rights Commission, and can assist clients with disputes in Federal and State courts.

  • Advising on the interaction between enterprise agreements, awards and the National Employment Standards
  • Drafting and advising on exemption applications under equal opportunity legislation
  • Advising on the Equal Remuneration Order and related disputes
  • Preparing for and advising on equal opportunity matters, including sexual harassment and discrimination
  • Advising on underpayment claims in the Magistrates’ Court
  • Assisting clients with unfair dismissal and general protections proceedings
  • Negotiating settlements and drafting deeds of release
  • Keeping clients up to date on changes to employment law through drafting alerts and delivering presentations
