Bridgette is a Special Counsel in Russell Kennedy’s Property and Development Team in Melbourne.

She practices in the areas of property, local government, leasing and roads and has extensive experience in legal practice as well as experience in public land management with local government and statutory authorities. She has advised on leasing, licensing, roads and discontinuances, property acquisitions and disposals, and off the plan developments, with a particular focus on complex legislative environments and stakeholder-sensitive projects.

She is known for her strategic approach to property risk, governance, and compliance. Bridgette combines legal expertise with practical, outcome-focused solutions tailored to the needs of her clients.


Experience

  • Acting on behalf of private client tenants and landlords, councils and state government authorities on all aspects of leasing transactions including those relating to office, retail, development and Crown Land and leases to telecommunications carriers.
  • Advising on retail leasing in all Australian jurisdiction.
  • Acting for clients in all aspects of commercial property law, including sales, acquisitions and off the plan developments.
  • Acting for local councils and other statutory bodies in relation to adverse possession claims and encroachments in respect of roads, public highways and reserves.
  • Assisting local councils and private clients to investigate land title and ownership including status of roads and public highways, trespass and encroachment
  • Due diligence reviews in connection with land and property acquisitions.
