Russell Kennedy has advised Pentarch Forestry in its acquisition of Superior Wood, Australian’s leading manufacturer and distributor of Araucaria softwood products.

Transaction Details:
Under the acquisition, which was finalised on 30 January 2026, Pentarch Forestry acquired the Superior Wood business and associated land holdings, including its two major operating facilities - the Imbil mill, which processes around 225,000 cubic metres of Araucaria logs each year, and the Melawondi remanufacturing plant.
Superior Wood’s signature product, plantation‑grown Araucaria, is a native Australian softwood that has been used for generations in Australian homes, being sought after for its uniform colour, fine grain and high strength‑to‑weight performance.
