Russell Kennedy is pleased to announce that Michael Gorton AM (Consultant) and Gina Tresidder (Principal) will both present as panellists at the Victorian Healthcare Association (VHA) 2025 Conference, taking place in Melbourne on Tuesday 28 October - Wednesday 29 October 2025. Jonathan Teh (Principal) will also attend the conference, supporting the firm’s continued engagement with Victoria’s health and community sectors.
Leading clinical governance and quality in care
Michael Gorton AM, Consultant at Russell Kennedy and Chair of Monash Health, will join the panel “A panel on shaping excellence in care: Leading clinical governance for quality and safety”, alongside leaders from Safer Care Victoria, Monash Health and the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare.
Michael will share insights from decades of experience advising the health sector on governance, ethics, regulatory compliance and board operations. His contribution will focus on how boards and executives can embed robust governance frameworks to deliver safer, higher-quality care across complex health systems.
Cybersecurity in healthcare: ‘Alert but not alarmed’
Gina Tresidder, Principal at Russell Kennedy, will feature in the cybersecurity panel “Alert but not alarmed”, hosted by Dr Paul Eleftheriou, Principal and Co-Lead for Digital Health at Nous Group, with fellow panelists Ashley Bong, Principal Cybersecurity Officer & IMT Cybersecurity & Assurance (Department of Health), & Prof. Eugine Yafele, CEO of Monash Health.
With extensive experience in privacy, data protection and cyber risk, Gina will explore the big questions around cybersecurity in healthcare. The session will discuss practical governance strategies for boards and executives responding to increasing cybersecurity threats in the health sector.
