This webinar is for women who are interested in finding and taking up board positions for the first time, or who may have recently taken up a position and are interested in finding out more about their duties and responsibilities.

Australian boards need more women and serving on a board can bring enormous personal and professional satisfaction. But how do you know when you are ready to apply for board positions?

In this webinar, our panel, consisting of Chaya Lal, Partner at accounting and business advisory firm PKF, Jaqueline Wilson, Associate at Russell Kennedy who has extensive experience serving on numerous different boards, and Janet Young, non-executive director of HealthShare Victoria and Chair of the Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee – as well as being Chief Operating Officer at Russell Kennedy - will provide practical insight and discussion into how and when to apply for board positions.

Our expert panel will discuss:

  • The benefits and challenges of serving on a board
  • How to find a board position
  • Key aspects to consider when weighing up a particular role
  • How you can prepare to make yourself ‘board ready’
  • The key responsibilities and risks that should be on your radar

Chaya Lal will also be providing a crucial overview on financial statements, and the key information that every director needs to know.
