Who should attend: This hybrid seminar is intended for Environmental Health professionals as well as Coordinators/Managers/Directors of environmental health/public health teams at Councils. It may also be of relevant for Local Laws teams who handle residential unreasonable noise matters. We encourage you to invite your colleagues to this free session.
This will be the third Local Government – Environmental Health focused event for 2025. Presenting the seminar will be Principal Louisa Dicker and Special Counsel Marcus Heath, who have specialised knowledge and experience in this area of law.
The focus of this seminar will be unreasonable noise under the Environment Protection Act 2017 (Vic) and will also consider the intersection with the nuisance provisions under the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008 (Vic).
Louisa and Marcus will help you understand the key concepts, navigate your enforcement powers, consider the role of Council and that of the Police, and support you to improve investigation and enforcement outcomes. They will also present case studies and provide best practice insight for attendees in handling these types of matters.
