Role responsibilities

We are seeking to appoint a Lawyer with a demonstrated interest in a career in Property & Development. The role will offer varied and stimulating work, client contact and a friendly and supportive team.

The successful applicant needs to be commercial in their thinking and approach, possess sound drafting skills and have the ability to cope with a varied and intellectually stimulating workload. Candidates will need to be proactive and have the ability to anticipate the needs of our clients.  

We are looking for a self-motivated Lawyer who will develop into a key member of the Property & Development team. 

Job responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with corporate clients and meeting their day to day needs;
  • Drafting standard and non-standard contracts, tailored to client needs;
  • Drafting leases; advising in relation to the interpretation of lease terms and conditions; negotiating lease terms;
  • Drafting contracts of sale and vendor’s statements;
  • Property development including, broad acre and medium density sub divisions, owners corporation advice, etc;
  • General property issues;
  • Time recording and billing; and
  • Any other reasonable duties as directed by the Principals.

Required skills and experience

To be successful in this role you will have 2-3 years PAE experience working in a property role. You will also be exceptionally organised, have well developed interpersonal and communication skills and excellent drafting skills.
